Building off the success of the Whiskey Treaty Roadshow's debut full-length album, Band Together, the newly-released Expanded Edition features intimate live-in-studio recordings of some of the record's signature songs. Recorded live at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, Mass., these half-dozen previously unheard tracks include versions of Pass The Peace, Don't Cross My Land and Rose on the Vine, that have become staples of the Treaty's live show and have garnered airplay on Americana stations around the country. The band made the Mass MoCA recordings in conjunction with a video project with Massachusetts-based Bottletree Productions. The songs highlight the band's impressively lithe arrangements and the ability to deconstruct their most bombastic and powerful songs into only their most important elements. Initially released as a mini-EP strictly for die-hard fans in their home region of the Berkshires, the songs have been compiled here and widely released for the first time as a deluxe companion to the original album, showing the winding path songs often take to their final destination on wax.
